Here are a few scriptures to encourage you to walk in love.
“But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and loving-kindness and truth”. Psalm 86:15
“Hatred stirs up contentions, but love covers all transgressions”. Proverbs 10:12
“Set me like a seal upon your heart, like a seal upon your arm, for love is as strong as death, jealousy is as hard and cruel as Sheol (the place of the dead). It flashes are flashes of fire, a most vehement flame [the very flame of the Lord]!” Song of Solomon 8:6
“The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who Saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His Love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing”. Zephaniah 3:17
“And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect).
This is great (most important, principal) and first commandment.
And second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself”. Matthew 22:37-39
He mentions it again in Mark
“The second is like it and is this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these”. Mark 12:31
“But love your enemies and be kind and do good [doing favors so that someone derives benefits from them] and lend, expecting and hoping for nothing in return but considering nothing as lost and despairing of no one; and then your recompense (your reward) will be great (rich, strong, intense, and abundant), and you will be sons of the Most High, for He is kind and charitable and good to the ungrateful and the selfish and wicked.
So be merciful (sympathetic, tender, responsive, and compassionate) even as your Father is [all these]” Luke 6:35-36
“Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins [forgives and disregards the offenses of others]”. 1 Peter 4:8
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God; and he who loves [his fellowmen] is begotten (born) of God and is coming [progressively] to know and understand God [to perceive and recognize and get a better and clearer knowledge of Him], for God is love.
He who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love”. 1 John 4:7-8
I pray these scriptures encourage and motivate you to walk in love.
Have a blessed and wonderful Sunday.
