I have been married for almost seven years so that makes me an expert right?
Ha! Not hardly but I have found these seven gift ideas to make my husband’s heart go thump.
- Love Jar
Buy a Mason jar put stickers all over it like hearts, be mine, love you, etc…
Then fill it with miscellaneous thoughtful gestures you don’t mind doing for him every week. If you are daring, give him a few blank ones to write in what he would like.
I had things like cook your favorite meal, wear a costume of your choice, back massage… be creative with it. My husband loved this! Every Friday he was eager to pull a gesture or act out of his Love Jar.
It brought us closer he was sad when it expired (his went to next Valentine’s Day)
- Talk nerdy or sporty to him
By buying him a video game he has been wanting, maybe a special edition comic, a shirt he has been eyeing on websites like superherostuff or 80’s tees. My husband is into Green Lantern comics, most zombie video games and Puma. I can’t go wrong with any of those.
- Grooming Kit
I worked in men’s retail for a little while and a lot of my customers would come in for grooming tools. Beard or no beard I discovered it is a part of most men’s grooming routine.
I recommend Art of Shaving or Kiel’s Shave care products.
- Male Lingerie
That’s my name for it.
My husband is bad at replacing his lounge wear, he doesn’t care if it is worn out or maybe he just doesn’t think about it… I don’t know…
Buy him some new boxer briefs, nice set of pajama’s or some sweats that don’t look like the ones he has had since college.
- Something Sweet
Nothing Bundt Cakes, have you tried them? I LOVE their bundlets!
Buy or make his favorite dessert. If your man has a sweet tooth he will appreciate this.
- Something Techie
A drone, smartwatch, Fitbit, wireless headphones, amazon echo, NES classic, key finder… I think you get it
Buy him a case or pack of his favorite beer
My husband is into craft beer, at Tom Thumb, Fresh Market, and Kroger you can mix and match beers. It is pretty inexpensive too.
Hope these ideas help.
